Process….And What It Means To Me

I am learning things as I go.

Process means everything to me.  Without it I really do not know where I would be.  It took a while for me to realize the true beauty of what process really meant in my life.  Once I completely understood it, it changed my perspective and outlook on life.

Let us be vulnerable for a second.  Throughout my life I have been afraid of my weaknesses.  For a long time I believed that my weaknesses were a shameful part of who I was.  I would over compensate and always try my best at showing only my good side.  It became really exhausting.

I felt as though I always had to make people believe that my life was perfect, when it was not always like that.  God has most certainly blessed me with many beautiful moments and incredible opportunities but to try and fully convince yourself that life should be perfect all the time is just a big lie.  If life was indeed perfect, I really do not know how I would have learnt to rely on God and the process.

I soon realized what life was really about.  It was all summed up in one word : Process – Really one of my favourite words.  One thing in my life that has most probably been the hardest yet most rewarding learning experience.  We become so focused on the obstacles instead of realizing that the obstructions and mess are a part of the process too.

This song has been a big part of my process journey.  Just declaring that it is well over my life has made every bit of difference.  I was once told that the words we speak over our lives have a big impact on how we see ourselves and the life that we are living.  It is one thing to say it is well but to actually speak it over our lives and believe it amongst the mess is a brave and beautiful thing to do.

Life is a process.  Of all the things you can take away from the words that I am sharing, let it be this :

Get rid of all unrealistic expectations and completely trust in the process.  It will be beautiful, I promise.
