He who calls you is faithful and He will do it. – 1 Thessalonians 5:24
There have been moments where I have sat with God, realizing that disappointment has never been a stranger to me. Disappointment has a funny way of popping out of nowhere. In these moments, God has challenged me to look at disappointment through His eyes and not mine and to see it as an avenue where He can work in and through me and bless me with a fresh new perspective on life.
These past few months have been a season where I have waited on The Lord to fulfill dreams that have been placed on my heart for many years. My season will never look like anyone else’s around me. God knows exactly what I need in the season that I am in. By placing every bit of disappointment, concern and worry into the palm of God’s hands, I have learnt to trust that there is no need for me to compare my circumstances to anybody else’s.
God never scratches His head, trying to come up with a master plan to solve any situation that you are in. He longs to pull you closer to Him as you learn to rest on Him. The waiting process will never be a walk in the park, but after time it performs a great work within your heart. A new sense of strength and joy rises within you.

There have been days where I have felt that no dream that has been placed on my heart will ever come true. I have leaned on God and through the process of trusting Him completely, my perspective on life has started to change. Rushing God often seems to be the easiest way to receive answers, but it never works. There is beauty in every circumstance that we go through.
Choosing praise when everyone else is choosing doubt allows us to see God’s goodness. I have learnt that contentment is found on our knees, with broken and bleeding hearts, presenting our requests and dreams to God and waiting to hear His call of direction.
So often, I long to have everything planned out. Although I have sometimes loved the unknown, I have recently dreaded it. Knowing where I am headed, who I will be in years to come, what I will accomplish between now and the age of 25, provides me with a sense of comfort. This year has challenged me to think beyond that and to have full faith that everything will work out. God hears every cry, every laugh and every bit of confusion. He has already won the war.
You do not need to know your future just yet. Focus on the opportunities that are given to you now. Dreams may change, plans may alter but this may bring greater things than you could have ever imagined. God has called you for a time such as this.
Imagine all that God has waiting and all that will come.
When you are weary and everything seems to be going wrong, you can still utter these four words: I trust You, Jesus.
